November 2018 Players of the Month

5 days ago By Alex Inch

Players of the month for the Bulls, Lions, Wanderers and Belles

Banbury Bulls-Ken Key
Matt Goode: “He’s been outstanding, played nearly 80 minutes every game but also improving week in week out. The team’s philosophies have been pride, passion and work rate and that’s been exemplified by Ken this month. Every time there was a discussion for Man of the Match, Ken’s name has been up there.”

Banbury Lions-Rory Dymond
Mark Kirwin: “Rory has been a big influence on and off the pitch, he has been instrumental at scrum time with his tight head prowess, keeping the scrum moving and well bound as a front five. His ability to carry the ball and gain yards as well as act as a decoy runner has been a great asset for the Lions. Leading by example and with his great rugby brain and playing ability is the reason Rory is the Lions player of the month.”

Banbury Wanderers-Harry Gillett
Paul Handley: “We only had one game in November, but Harry was the standout player in that game. He was tenacious in defence and a constant threat with the ball in hand in our victory over undefeated Wheatley. There were many good performances that game, but Harry was the standout.”

Banbury Belles-Lisa Craddock
Jason Fearn: “Lisa has put in two impressive performances in November and deserved the two tries she scored in back to back games. She has shown a great attitude since joining the Belles this season and we’re lucky to have her on the team.”

O2 Touch-Jonathan Trotman
Mark Roberts: “Jonathan Trotman is our player of the month. He’s been outstanding for us in the Oxford League scoring 9 tries this month, consistently putting in outstanding performances in matches and training.”
