First Home Defeat of the season for the Under 14s
By Keith Cook
Worcester avenge their defeat earlier in the season
Following Banbury's victory at Worcester earlier in the season, the Under 14s expected a tough encounter.
Worcester made the trip with a big squad with a physicality that the Banbury boys hadn't faced so far this season. Despite their best efforts, Banbury were unable to break the shackles and conceded four first half tries without reply, one of which was converted, to leave the score 0 - 22 at half-time.
The physical nature of the match continued in the second half, with the number of knocks and injuries mounting for the Banbury players. Some good attacks from the hosts failed to make the line and Worcester scored a further three tries to finish the game 41 - 0 victors.
A difficult "day at the office" for the Under 14s, but one that will set them up for the remainder of the season.
As a foot note, the result meant that the pattern of results since the start of the season remained constant: WWWWLWWWWLWWWWL which is promising for our next few fixtures.
